Hi, My Name is Teresa Graham.
I have worked at a variety of jobs over my life-time, but can say with certainty that being a Humanist Celebrant is the one where I feel most truly at home.
There are important transitions in every human life – birth, marriage, graduation, retirement, death – and being a celebrant allows me to participate in those events and to help mark them as significant and meaningful occasions. I will tell you more about the different ceremonies under the separate headings on the site.
My other occupations are all connected to my interest in people, society and trying to leave the world a little better than I found it. I teach sociology at DCU and am involved in the BSc program in Counselling and Psychotherapy at PCI College. I work as a counsellor in a private capacity, and am also trained as a mediator. I am interested in research in field of health and illness and I am a patient advocate and campaigner.
I am an avid gardener and supporter of GIY and anyone else who wants to look after our precious and endangered natural world. I am a voracious reader and mother of two adult children.
